Injection-moulding automation engineered for UK production UK robot integration · 01865 416830
Complete injection-moulding automation

One project.
Every interface owned.

The cell must coordinate the moulding machine, robot, end-of-arm tooling, product flow, downstream equipment and safety system. We engineer those dependencies as one production solution.

Scope of integration

The equipment between
mould open and packed output.

The exact scope follows the application. These are the common workstreams that turn robot hardware into a dependable production cell.

MECH

Robot & mechanical integration

Robot selection, mounting, structures, stroke and reach checks, services routing, fixtures and downstream mechanical interfaces.

EOAT

End-of-arm tooling

Vacuum, mechanical, magnetic or hybrid gripping, part/sprue handling, insert placement, quick change and tool identification.

CTRL

Controls & machine signals

Mould-open, ejector, core, safe-entry and cycle-permit handshakes, plus recipes, alarms, recovery and equipment coordination.

FLOW

Conveyors & product handling

Cooling, spacing, cavity separation, nests, trays, buffering, inspection, counting, packing and completed-pack transfer.

SAFE

Safeguarding & access

Guarding, interlocks, safety zoning, emergency stops, operator access, replenishment and recovery considered for the integrated cell.

DATA

Inspection & traceability

Presence sensing, vision, reject control, counts, batch data, code readers and agreed interfaces to plant or line systems.

Delivery method

Six stages.
One accountable route.

  1. 01
    Understand

    Capture the production requirement

Review the moulding machine, tool, product and sprue, cavity count, current cycle, changeovers, operator tasks, downstream process and available layout.

  2. 02
    Engineer

    Define the complete cell

Select the robot architecture and specify strokes, payload, end-of-arm tooling, feeders, conveyors, sensing, controls, interfaces, guarding and access.

  3. 03
    Build

    Integrate and programme

Assemble the cell, wire controls, programme sequences, configure recipes and alarms, and develop safe recovery behaviour for expected faults.

  4. 04
    Prove

    Test with representative product

Run motion and product trials, verify grip and placement, challenge sensors, measure cycle performance and close issues before site installation.

  5. 05
    Deploy

    Install, commission and train

Integrate on site, verify machine signals and safety functions, complete acceptance activities and train operators and engineering personnel.

  6. 06
    Support

    Plan production support

Agree documentation, spares, preventive maintenance and the support route appropriate to the final system and production duty.

Machine-interface definition

Agree what happens in every state.

Normal running is only one part of the controls design. A robust cell also defines startup, pauses, missing parts, vacuum loss, full conveyors, downstream faults, guard access and safe restart.

FROM IMM Mould open READY
FROM ROBOT Mould area clear TRUE
FROM EOAT Part grip confirmed TRUE
TO LINE Component transferred COMPLETE
SAFETY Cell safe to run HEALTHY
Discuss your application

Bring us the whole moulding process.

A short video, product details, machine information, cycle target and available layout are enough to begin the technical review.

What information helps specify a moulding-machine robot?

Provide the moulding machine, mould and part details, including the required extraction and downstream placement. Define the robot's tooling and the available access around the machine. Agree the control interface and operating sequence with the cell integrator so handling and machine operation are assessed together.
